电影讲述与家人一起前往菲律宾旅行的强力班刑警偶然要去找逃亡到菲律宾的朋友过程中发生的故事。著名小提琴演奏家陈枫为了完成父亲陈士晔的梦想，毅然辞去乐团的工作，来到乐器厂学习制作小提琴，并数度进入林区寻找“虎皮枫木”，直至在东北林区发现。“虎皮枫木”并非来自中国，而一直由欧洲进口，被称为“欧料”，是制作优质小提琴的木料材质。几个世纪以来，高档小提琴一直由西方制作生产。因此，在中国寻找“虎皮枫木”，就成为一些想制作中国高级乐器的琴师的梦想。。Mona (Maëlle Poésy) has recently arrived in New York from France in order to mount her newest play — an autobiographical piece that depicts her tumultuous, on-again, off-again affair with a married photographer, Nick (Linas Phillips).
