Paramount Television﹑Anonymous Content及Sugar23三家公司联手开发Shari Lapena的同名小说改编剧《隔壁夫妇 The Couple Next Door》，这部剧集由Lila Feinberg负责执笔，讲述同住曼哈顿一公寓大厦的三对伴侣，他们将因为一宗惊人犯罪而有所交集，其后更演变互揭疮疤的事件。。生性仗义的张青（桑伟淋 饰）为人忠厚，孟州城帮会首领豹哥（张德晖 饰）犯奸获罪，转嫁到张青头上，无辜的张青代人受过入狱服刑。张父得知独子坐监，变卖全部家产救儿子出狱，自己则郁郁而亡。出狱后张青想脱离豹哥干点正经营生，豹哥不允，无奈的张青只好到寺院种菜。当时的孟州帮派林立，谁都想独霸一方，张青深感世道艰难，他堂堂七尺男儿竟无立足之地。思前想后，张青决定涉水江湖，他带领山子（刘峰超 饰）、蚂蚱（仲晓鸥 饰）等兄弟揭竿而起，与黑白两道相抗争。捕快李绍甫（卢星宇 饰）为获取张青手上的官银，把张青的女人心莲（施诗 饰）扣作人质，张青闻讯大怒…… 本片根据《水浒传》改编。。Touching Evil is a 1997 British television drama serial, produced by Anglia Television and screened on the ITV network.
