《全金属狂潮》第四季动画将于2018年4月开播，动画由XEBEC制作。《全金》的第四季动画也是有生之年系列，距离京都动画当年的第三季已经有将近12年的时间。在2016年的Fantasia学园祭上公布《全金属狂潮 IV》这个标题时官方就说明“IV” 不是罗马数字4，1月19日第四季的副标题正式公布，“IV”是两个英文单词的首字母缩写——“Invisible Victory”（无形的胜利）。。Seonwoo is about to get married, and his father collapses from a cerebral hemorrhage. Dad's huge hospital bill is granted to Seon-u, and his father has to be a basic pension recipient to solve the bill. Can Seon-u overcome this disaster-like situation and get married?。
