据民政部估计，全国流浪乞讨儿童数量在100万-150万左右。在一些地乡村地区，买卖儿童几近市场化，形成了一个完整的地下黑色利益链。盲人小女孩晶晶（杜函梦饰）一直被以郭伟（胡明饰）为头目的犯罪团伙控制下在街头乞讨赚钱。一天，她在地铁通道里遇到了赵亮（李杨饰）。赵亮是一名落魄摇滚大叔，整天装扮成盲人进行坑蒙拐骗。为了逃脱郭伟残暴的毒打，她在赵亮的带领下到了派出所，但民警王莉莉（于越饰）根本找不到晶晶的家，晶晶却说赵亮是她的爸爸，万般无奈之下，赵亮只好暂时收留她。最终犯罪团伙还是找到了他们，并以晶晶“监护人”的身份把她带走，晶晶和犯罪团伙之间到底是什么关系？赵亮为了弄清楚这一切，踏上了一场未知的行程。而他和晶晶的故事才刚刚开始……。和传统传记片不同，这部《玛丽·雪莱的怪物》并不是古装片，而是一部融合了三角恋、惊悚、哥特式浪漫、性感等元素的，以现代手法拍摄的极具风格的电影。。In this bitingly satirical film Peter Slovan, a continuous source of trouble for the film functionaries of the socialist Slovakia, tackles an evergreen topic – the corruptive effects of power. Barnabáš Kos, a triangle player at a symphonic orchestra, is suddenly promoted to serve as the head of the said institution, even though both he and his superiors deem him completely unfit for the task. Encouraged in equal parts by this unexpected recognition and the servile praise of his colleagues, Kos’s modesty starts to gradually vanish. The erstwhile bashful and aloof percussionist quickly becomes aware of the advantages of his new office, and begins to realise his increasingly ludicrous artistic ambitions. Ultimately, the submissive marionette turns into a source of public humiliation, and his astonishing career finds an abrupt end. Orchestra serves here as a microcosm that grotesquely reflects the absurd and tragicomic mechanisms of the paranoid apparatus of power.
