在一家咖啡屋旁的顶楼寓所里，住着莫妮卡、乔伊和钱德勒。罗斯是莫妮卡的哥哥兼钱德勒的大学同学，刚刚离异。菲比以前曾在这所寓所里住过，所以现在仍是寓所里的常客。一天，莫妮卡中学及大学时的死党瑞秋逃婚投奔莫妮卡并住入他们的寓所，由此，这由三男三女组成的六人组合开始了他们长达十年的友情生涯。。苏波荣（王祖蓝 饰）觉得自己的人生陷入了低谷。事业上，他饱受自私自利的老板马上发（许冠文 饰）的排挤和算计，工作多年亦看不见出头之日。亲情上，好吃懒做的母亲（元秋 饰）只将苏波荣当做是赚钱的工具，自打儿子十六岁起，母亲便过起了靠儿子养活的逍遥日子。友情中，好友华帝（方力申 饰）成天在外惹是生非，苏波荣往往就是帮他收拾烂摊子的那个不二人选。 幸运的是，无论混的多惨，苏波荣的女友钟家宝（王莞之 饰）依然不离不弃的守在他的身边，接受着男友的负能量和脾气，毫无怨言，久而久之，苏波荣早已经在潜意识里将钟家宝当做了发泄不满的“垃圾桶”。一天，苏波荣的手机上收到了一条神秘的短信，此时的他并不知道，自己无心的转发，竟然彻底扭转了命运。。Disarmingly realistic in its depiction of the realities of frontier life, Heartland is a strong antidote to the cliches of traditional Westerns. This semi-documentary slice of life is based on the diaries of Elmore Randall Stewart about her days on the Wyoming frontier in the early 20th century. It's a strongly feminist statement about a woman raising her small daughter alone and scrapping for a living by working for a shy Scottish rancher. Director Richard Pearce brings an endearing touch to a film that is helped greatly by the dazzling cinematography of Fred Murphy. Conchata Ferrell and Rip Torn star in this small film that substitutes veracity for a high-powered plot. Pearce worked as a cinematographer on Woodstock and other documentaries before making his directorial debut. Winner of the 1980 Berlin Golden Bear at the Berlin Film Festival。
